India shattered their highest-ever team total in women’s ODI history on Wednesday, amassing a staggering 435/5 against Ireland in Rajkot. This record-breaking performance was powered by brilliant centuries from Pratika Rawal and Smriti Mandhana.
Mandhana reached her century in just 70 balls, setting a new benchmark for the fastest ODI hundred by an Indian woman cricketer. Rawal followed with her maiden ODI century, scoring a superb 154. Richa Ghosh added the finishing touch with a blistering half-century.
With this remarkable display, India became only the third team, after New Zealand and Australia, to cross the 400-run mark in women’s ODIs. The total now stands as the fourth highest in the history of women’s ODIs.
