The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has given a Letter of Intent to Honda Atlas Cars (Pakistan) Limited to buy 1,010 Honda City 1.2L CVT cars, costing around Rs. 6 billion.
The purchase will happen in two parts. FBR will pay Rs. 3 billion in the beginning. This payment will cover the cost of 500 cars and part of the payment for the remaining 510 cars. The rest of the payment will be made after the first 500 cars are delivered.
The first payment will be made once FBR receives the pre-receipted bill.
The delivery will take place between January and May 2025. According to the official document, the cars will include extra features at no extra cost, such as a navigation system with a reverse camera, a high-quality interior, free maintenance for up to 20,000 km or 12 months, and a four-year or 100,000 km warranty. FBR has also asked for a tracking system to be installed in each car with a one-year service fee and a discounted renewal fee.

The delivery schedule is as follows: FBR will get 75 cars this month, 200 in February, 225 in March, 250 in April, and the remaining 260 cars in May 2025.
